If you've used Reg and Lellow in class, then here's a spot to share your comments. How did it go down with your students? Which level did it work best with? Did you or your students have a favourite story? Any tips for other teachers using the material?

Yes, have used all of series 1.  They loved it and it quickly became something they expected at the start of each lesson.  The kids are 7-8 year olds.  The stories were good for predicting "what happens next" and they came up with loads of great possibilities for that.  Favourite story so far was Ana Azrak!!! It made them laugh a lot.  More details and feeback soon.  Am using series 2 at the moment.  Still v popular.  Keep up the good work!

Are you sure about that?  - I mean, using them with adults. I suppose it might entertain them for a few minutes and act as a bit of a break from regular class material. Good luck!

I have used them a lot in my 1st and 2nd grade classes, as well as with my four-year-old class. They just love them! I think that you did a really good job with adding the audio to the stories! I will use them in my classes!

By the way, I like the new character you have created at the beach...

That's a lovely thing to say! Cheers. Now then, with regards the TEFLAfterparty that you were having trouble joining, I decided it was time to start my own ELT webpage proper. I opened the accouunt today but it's going to be a few weeks till any decent quantity of material is up there. I'll post the link up to it when that happens. I think your problem with the Spanish instructions on Yahoo groups gave me the final push I needed - Thanks! Chrisx.

Super excited to use these with my kids, they will LOVE it, I already know! I enjoyed going through the stories myself. Very clever way you animated the characters... feels like watching video! Thanks!

Hey that's really uplifting and very nice of you to say. Much appreciated! Yes, I confess that  sometimes I do click through the stories at high speed to see how well they 'move'. Best wishes, Cx

Hi Mary

Okay, first of all, have you downloaded the audio version? There are only audio versions for series 1 of Reg and Lellow. It may depend on what version of PowerPoint you're using. Also, have you tried actually saving the story to your computer and then opening it from there? Please let me know how this goes.

Thanks Chris, I will try that.  Today I am at school using a different computer.  I will let you know how I get on.  I love the idea of Reg and Lellow and am looking forward to hearing them talk!

Great stuff and good luck but don't get your hopes up too high. The audio versions are really basic - it's just me reading the stories on a medium quality microphone. Basically, I put the audio on by popular request (and will do so for the second series too)  but my own personal take is that it's infinitely better if the teacher puts their own voice to the story and thus he or she becomes an integral part of the story itself and enjoys the storytelling experience. Still, I do appreciate that sometimes our students listen more readily to a recording just becuase it is a recording, and that this gives the teacher not only a well needed break, but also a chance to step back and monitor kids' engagement and think about follow up language activities. Now I am rambling! Enjoy yourself. Cx

Hi! This is mi first time in the blog. Last year I used with my pupils ages 6-7.

They were really interesting about it because I let them to use the mouse and predict what happens next. At first time is hard for them because we're a Spanish school and the English level at this ages is not so high but when they get the use they love it. I'll use the stories this year again.Thank you  for the audios.

Hi! Yesterday I decided to get accuainted to Humphrey Bogin series I watched the video about Humphrey Bogin on the beach and realised that I could show it later in the afternoon to my students who are learning Present Simple now. I chose it as a nice end of the lesson acivity. Ss (I've got 3 in this particular group) by themselves chose to read out aloud and their voices cheered up when they were reading the question and answer about football They also asked if I made up this video

Thank you again for givinig me the opportunity to use something nice and different!
